Last year I held a survey online and at schools I visited for the most popular title for my debut children’s poetry collection with Frances Lincoln Children’s Books. The results came in and WEREWOLF CLUB RULES came out on top. I want to say a huge thank you to the parents, teachers and little poets who took part and am pleased to share the front cover of the book designed by John O’Leary who is also illustrating the collection. The book comes out on 14th August. I’m hugely excited and can’t wait for the books to come out in stores I still recall the first time I Â saw a poem with my name on it in an anthology in Borders (The Works 6. ed. Pie Corbett), it felt like a real milestone I literally get goosebumps when thinking about seeing a whole book with my name on it in the book store (alas not Borders đ )
I’m really pleased with the cover and think  John O’leary has done a fantastic job with the design and Frances Lincoln have done wonders with the setting – the illustrations for some of the poems and some other stuff⌠will be coming soon until then I’m looking forward to making some edits on the second draft of a new play for Polka Theatre‘s Playhouse Project and preparing for a new season of workshops with Discover Children’s Story Centre.
