As well as a great write up from @ELAdvertiser I was touched to receive the following review this morning for The Poetry Joe Show.
This is a show that started as an little idea and labour of love for John O’leary and myself with us pooling our (unfunded) resources. Our first performances happening at The Horsebridge Arts Centre in Whistable two years ago, back then i was touring the whole set on an Ikea push along trolley! Since then i’ve toured the show up and down the country non-stop and have been so grateful for the wonderful audience we’ve had along the way helping to create food poems, shouting at John’s wonderful illustrations and sharing their own “light” poems at the end of each show- the journey of this production all came flooding back as I headed to Birmingham for a performance of Wordpepper’s second show “Pop-up Flashback”. It’s been a great two years and so wonderful to now be entering our third year of touring the show. Check out the review here…
“The Poetry Joe Show is still one of the best hours I’ve spent in a theatre.”

“Young readers are already familiar with stars such as McGough, Rosen, Ahlberg and Magee. Let us hope they will become as familiar with Joseph Coelho’s work”
