Sheffield Central Library, Sheffield City
The route to Sheffield Central Library was one accompanied by water in many forms from a cascading silver wall of a fountain on immediately exiting the station to a Gaudi-esque stream leading up hill to the Library.
It’s a grand old building and I was lucky enough to get a glimpse of the Ruskin Exhibition which is part of a wider city wide series of Ruskin themed events over the year. I was delighted to also spy some Kate Greenaway illustrations on display and to see that the library has a board game section!
The library is huge with a museum upstairs and a series of lovely library inspired quotes on the walls. Librarian Sarah Harrison was so kind in joining me up and ensuring I didn’t miss the exhibits.
